Not All Wraps Are Created Equal!

You get what you pay for. This is absolutely true in the world of wrapping vehicles. There is no doubt you can find someone that will wrap your car in two days and only charge you $2500. It may even look like they did a decent job when they have finished. Unfortunately, that will be short-lived. It won't be long before the $2500 wrap becomes a nightmare you can't wait to get off your vehicle. Don't live the nightmare - hire a professional to wrap your vehicle.

What to expect when hiring a professional wrap installer with 10+ years of experience.

It takes at least one full day just to prep the vehicle for wrapping. A complete clay bar treatment must be done to the vehicle in order to remove sediments and contaminants that will prevent the vinyl from correctly adhering to the surface of the vehicle. Without this, the wrap will fail in a very short period of time.

The environment in which the wrap is installed needs to be dust-free to prevent contaminants from getting between the vinyl and the vehicle after all the prep work is done to remove it.

There are parts that may need to be removed to correctly wrap them or around them. Vehicle badges need to be carefully removed to avoid damaging the paint or the badge itself.

Some panels have curves and/or angles that require specific attention during installation. A common mistake is to apply heat and stretch the vinyl. This will work temporarily but will cause a failure point as over time the vinyl will pull back in the areas where it was over-stretched. Once that happens the vinyl will begin to peel away from the vehicle and the $2500 nightmare begins.

Not all vinyl materials are created equal either. 3M and Avery are the best available vinyl films on the market, and a roll starts at around $800. We invite you to our shop to look through our swatch books and pick a color. Once you've selected a color, we collect a deposit to order the material and set your appointment to wrap the vehicle at a time that is convenient for you.

We will keep your vehicle for at least 4 days. All vehicles differ. Some take longer than others, but you can rest assured we will return your vehicle with a wrap that will last.

Our cost to wrap a vehicle starts at $3800 with the average vehicle coming in at $4300. This includes an $800 allowance for your vinyl. We understand a quality professional wrap isn't cheap, so we are happy to offer a 0% financing option. All our wraps qualify for 0% interest for 12 months. Frequently Asked Questions

No. In fact, vinyl wrap serves as a safeguard for your paint, shielding it from various external factors and road debris. The truth is, vinyl wrap offers protection against the sun, ice, salt, dirt, and other elements that your vehicle encounters regularly. When high-quality vinyl wrap is used and properly installed and removed, your paint will remain pristine, maintaining its original appearance. At Wrapped Whips, we prioritize the use of top-quality materials and employ professional installation techniques to ensure your paint remains unharmed and looks as flawless as ever. Trust our expertise for a seamless and protective vinyl wrap application.

While vinyl wrapping may be perceived as costly compared to alternatives, it is actually an affordable option when compared to traditional paint. When considering the quality and benefits, vinyl wrap proves to be a superior choice. Custom paint jobs can cost around $10,000 or more, while vinyl wrap typically falls within the $3,000 range. Moreover, vinyl wrap helps preserve the residual value of your vehicle by protecting the factory paint. It offers a cost-effective solution to transform your vehicle's appearance without the hefty price tag of a full repaint. At Wrapped Whips, we provide high-quality vinyl wrap services that offer exceptional value for your investment. Experience the affordability and quality of vinyl wrap by entrusting your vehicle customization needs to our skilled team.

With proper care, a vinyl wrap can last up to seven years. While factors such as usage, vinyl quality, and location play a role, a well-maintained vinyl wrap can have a lengthy lifespan. Keep in mind that many individuals opt for a vinyl wrap because they desire a color change after a few years, and the convenience of wrap allows for a straightforward color swap. While intense sun exposure, such as we have here in Arizona, can affect durability, storing the vehicle in a garage and maintaining cleanliness can help preserve the wrap's longevity. Additionally, the choice of finish is important, with gloss wraps typically lasting longer due to the protective clear coat. At Wrapped Whips, we utilize high-quality materials and expert installation techniques to ensure a durable and visually appealing vinyl wrap for your vehicle. Trust our skilled team to deliver a long-lasting wrap that exceeds your expectations.

Contrary to popular belief, removing a vinyl wrap is not a difficult task. When high-quality vinyl wrap materials such as 3M or Avery Dennison are used, and the wrap is installed properly, it can be easily removed without causing any damage to your factory paint. While we always recommend having a trained professional handle the removal process, it is possible to remove the vinyl wrap yourself if you prefer. At Wrapped Whips, we prioritize the use of top-quality materials and employ professional installation techniques to ensure both the application and removal processes are seamless and safe for your vehicle's paint. Whether you choose professional removal or decide to do it yourself, you can have confidence in knowing that the vinyl wrap can be removed with ease, leaving your factory paint in excellent condition.

Wrapped Whips recommends hand washing your vinyl wrapped vehicle using quality automotive cleaning products. This method allows for precise cleaning and minimizes the risk of damage to the wrap. Treat your wrap like paint, but AVOID using compounds and swirl/scratch removers to ensure the longevity and pristine appearance of the wrap. Wrapped Whips also suggests using a waterless wash product for maintaining your vehicle's vinyl wrap between major washes. Waterless wash products are convenient and effective for quick touch-ups and keeping the wrap looking fresh between thorough cleaning sessions. By following these recommendations, you can ensure that your vinyl wrapped car, truck, SUV, or motorcycle remains clean and in excellent condition. Contact Wrapped Whips for further guidance on the best practices for cleaning and maintaining your vinyl wrap.

Wrapped Whips highly recommends using microfiber towels when cleaning and drying your vinyl wrapped vehicle. This helps prevent scratches and maintains the integrity of the vinyl wrap. It's also advisable to keep an extra microfiber towel handy for unexpected touch-ups and added shine. To ensure optimal cleaning results, follow these steps:

  • Fold each microfiber towel in half twice before using it on the vinyl. This creates eight clean pads to carry out your cleaning operation, minimizing the risk of transferring dirt or debris.
  • Pre-wet the first microfiber towel by spraying it with a waterless car wash solution. Lightly spray the surface of the vehicle's vinyl wrap that needs to be cleaned. It's recommended to clean one section of the vehicle at a time.
  • Wipe over the section of the vinyl wrapped surface using the pre-sprayed microfiber towel. Circular or linear motions can be used, as both are effective in removing dirt and grime from the vinyl.
  • Once you have applied the waterless car wash solution and gently covered the section of the vehicle, grab a clean microfiber towel and use it to gently buff off any remaining residue. This will leave the vinyl wrap with a brilliant and long-lasting luster.

By following these guidelines and using microfiber towels, you can maintain the cleanliness and appearance of your vinyl wrapped car, truck, or motorcycle. For more information or further assistance, reach out to Wrapped Whips, where our team can provide expert advice on cleaning and caring for your vinyl wrap.

No, brush-type car or truck washes are NOT recommended for vinyl wrapped vehicles. The brushes used in these types of car washes can potentially scratch the vinyl film, cause edges to lift or chip, and dull the appearance of the wrap. To preserve the integrity and visual appeal of your vinyl wrap, it's best to avoid brush-type car washes.

Instead, opt for brushless car washes, which are suitable and safe for vinyl wrap. Brushless car washes utilize high-pressure water jets and gentle cleaning agents to effectively clean the vehicle's surface without the risk of damaging the vinyl wrap.

By choosing brushless car washes over brush-type car washes, you can maintain the quality and appearance of your vinyl wrapped vehicle. If you have any further questions or concerns regarding car wash options for your vinyl wrap, don't hesitate to contact Wrapped Whips for expert guidance and advice.

While hand washing is the preferred method for cleaning vehicle wraps, pressure washing can be used under specific conditions to clean your vinyl wrapped vehicle safely. To ensure the safe use of a pressure washer on your vinyl wrap, follow these guidelines:

  • Ensure the water pressure is kept below 2000 psi (14 MPa).
  • Keep the water temperature below 80°C (180°F).
  • Use a spray nozzle with a 40-degree wide-angle spray pattern.
  • Keep the nozzle at least 1 foot (300 mm) away from the surface of the vehicle, and hold it perpendicular (at 90 degrees) to the car.

It's essential to note that holding the nozzle of the pressure washer at an angle to the graphic may lift the edges of the vinyl wrap. To prevent any potential damage, always maintain a perpendicular position when using a pressure washer on your vinyl wrapped vehicle.

While hand washing remains the preferred cleaning method for vehicle wraps, following the above conditions when using a pressure washer can help you safely and effectively clean your vinyl wrap. If you have further questions or concerns regarding pressure washing or need additional guidance, reach out to the experts at Wrapped Whips for professional advice tailored to your specific vinyl wrap needs.

When faced with challenging contaminants on your vinyl wrap, it's important to take appropriate steps for safe and effective cleaning. Here's what you can do:

  1. Start by soaking the affected area with very hot, soapy water for several minutes. This will help loosen and dissolve the contaminants.
  2. Thoroughly rinse your car, truck, or motorcycle to remove the soapy water and contaminants.
  3. If further cleaning is required, it's essential to test a small, inconspicuous area of the vinyl wrap first to ensure that the cleaning product doesn't damage the wrap film. Consider using products such as Meguiar's Gold Class Bug and Tar Remover or 3M Citrus Base Cleaner, which are designed specifically for this purpose.
  4. Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or denatured alcohol can also be effective in tackling difficult contaminants. Mix two parts IPA to one part water, and use this solution to spot-clean the affected areas. Be cautious not to use rough scrubbing, dirty or abrasive tools, as they can scratch the film.
  5. After spot cleaning, wash and rinse off any residue thoroughly from your vinyl wrapped vehicle. It's important to remove all cleaning product residue to maintain the integrity of the wrap.

By following these steps and utilizing the recommended cleaning products, you can effectively remove stubborn contaminants from your vinyl wrap. For further guidance or assistance, feel free to reach out to the experts at Wrapped Whips, who can provide tailored advice based on your specific situation and vinyl wrap requirements.

If fuel finds its way onto your vinyl wrapped vehicle, it's crucial to take immediate action to avoid degradation of the vinyl wrap and adhesive. Here's what you should do:

  1. Wipe off the spilled fuel from the surface of the vehicle immediately. Use a clean cloth or paper towel to gently blot and absorb the fuel. Avoid rubbing the fuel into the vinyl wrap, as it may cause damage.
  2. After removing the fuel, it's essential to wash, rinse, and dry the vehicle as soon as possible. This will help eliminate any remaining residue and ensure the vinyl wrap is thoroughly cleaned.

By promptly addressing fuel spills and following these steps, you can minimize the risk of damage to your vinyl wrapped vehicle. For further assistance or guidance, don't hesitate to reach out to the experts at Wrapped Whips, who can provide personalized advice based on your specific vinyl wrap and fuel spill situation.
